Intention Statement

My intention on this Mastery Journey is to be like water by flowing around the obstacles that may obstruct my path and taking advantage of any opening that will allow even a trickle of hope to pass through. Over the next few months there will be many challenges and I want to be able to face them head on and gain the knowledge and experience needed to master my craft.

I want to learn how to create new and unique characters that can relate to my target audience. I want to be able to craft beautiful images with the magic of my words that can captivate any reader. This is my chance at learning how to master the art of storytelling. I am taking advantage of the chance to follow my dream. As Oscar Wilde once said, “Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world” (Wilde, 2019). Already I can see that this will be a long, hard journey for me, but I am and always will be determined to keep moving forward.

The Classes I am looking forward to are The Art of Visual Storytelling, Character Creation and Development and Writing for Film and Animation. They were the courses that sparked my curiosity when I first discovered Full Sail University. Like a river flowing to the sea, I will carry all that I have learned and collected with me and once I have reached the enormity of the sea that is the world outside the riverbank I will adapt and overcome. At the end of this journey I want to have the materials and skills I need to be success, so I will study and work hard to ensure that I reach my dream.
